Pariwana Hostel in Cusco, Peru is definitely a great place to stay. I was going there to try it out and maybe move on to another after 3 or 4 days. I stayed in this hostel for 13 days in total. I was gone for a few days here and there to visit other places, but every time I came back to Cusco I was back in Pariwana Hostel.
The hostel is an
old Colonial house, that was a bit modified of course to make it in an
hostel, but the looks of the place is great, the staff is awesome and
very friendly. This place is huge with many rooms, I very much doubt
that if you come here they will not have any room to accomodate you. The
prices are very good for all the services that you get along with the
bed. It is not only a hostel where you get a bed and breakfast, you get
so much more for your money here. This place never is and never will be
empty. A lot of great people to meet and have a chat with you could also
meet people to go and do activities with if you are on your own.
They
are located at only two blocks away from Plaza Armas that is the main
historical square of Cusco, from there you can easily get to anywhere in
and around Cusco. Many places for collectivos close by and a few
groceries also close by, if you like to cook yourself. There is also San
Pedro market only a few blocks away where you can find fresh fruits and
vegetables, but also so much more. There is also an information kioks
right in the hostel where you can ask the staff for stuff or tours to do
around Cusco, they will gladly help you find the activities that you
would like to do.
There are different types of room
with different prices for just about any tastes, here is a list of

All of the reviews I have seen for this hostel on other websites were positive from people who came here from all over the world to visit Cusco and the surrounding area.
I must say that this place is always clean, the many washrooms with showers are cleaned everyday by the large staff of cleaning people. They take great pride in how the hostel looks. The floors are swept and cleaned everyday also. The kitchen is very useful and it is to each user to clean their own dishes when they are done, makes sense to me.
There are also
many organized activities almost every day and everynight at the bar.
Such has Cusco trek, horseback riding, rock climbing, BBQ's and many
many more and always for very reasonable prices.
The
only little negative I could find to this place is that the Wifi
internet sometimes goes down, but with many different networks around
the hostel you will always find one that works. But thats the only
little thing that I can say that happened that was negative to me, since
I needed the internet to manage this blog. But for what it is, I am not
taking the note down. This hostel definitely deserves a 5 out of 5.
