Thursday Oct. 11th
We get to Sucre at 6h30 am, so around 9h30 road time. A good thing is that I will not have had to pay for a hotel room for that night. I get to Hostel Forastero and take a dorm room with 3 bed and communal washroom for 50Bs. There is a guy from Australia too that I had previously met in Arequipa, Peru and he is leaving that same morning, good I get the room for me alone. I then go for a walk into town for a little while. In bed pretty early because I had not slept much the night before in the bus.

Friday Oct. 12th
I meet with Élise in beginning of the afternoon, we go to the markets and take a walk up to the mirador to get back to the central plaza at around 3h30pm. I had to meet a friend at 4pm. We go for a beer with another friend of hers and then go to see if we could not book a 3 day trek around Sucre for the weekend. No luck, there is not enough people. We do book a one day trek instead to go see the ''Cretaceous Park'' and the 7 waterfalls for the next morning. We then head for lunch and another beer in the evening.
Mirador
We leave for the tour at 9am. We are 5 plus the guide Ivan. We take a bus to go to the ''Cretaceous Park'' for a small interesting visit, but I must say a little plain after seeing such dinosaur museum like the one in Drumheller, Alberta. It takes around an hour to go around, and then we leave and take a walk along the road for a bit to get to the trail that will lead us to the seven waterfalls. It takes us a few hours of walking and we get to the site at 2pm. Very nice place, we in fact only see the falls 2-3-4 and 5. The first one was a bit lower on the trail and the last two are a bit farther but the trail to get there is a little complicated. I could have decided to try and check it out but decided to rest a bit instead of going. The guide prepares the lunch while we get our feet wet in the pond below the fall, after lunch we leave again at 3pm to walk up to a small village. The waterfalls were very nice but at this time of year there is not a lot of water, but I was expecting it since it is dry season. I can just imagine how the place looks when there is lots of water, it must be wonderful. It takes us around 1h30 to get to the village where we wait for the bus for a while. We get back to the agencies office at around 6pm. We leave for supper and I decide to try a typical Bolivian meal called ''Pique a la Macho'', that is a plate of fries covered with marinated beef, chicken and sausages and a few veggies. I manage to eat the whole thing except a few tomatoes and hot peppers. A good thing that it was the small version of the dish. A plate was 35Bs, and it was definitely worth trying because it was very good.

Sunday Oct. 14th
Small easy day, I only get out in the afternoon and go to the bus terminal to see which agency goes to Totora. None of the buses goes strait to Totora, I end up quitting and go back without what I was looking for. I stay in town for a while. Back at the hotel around 5pm and a quiet evening especially that it start to rain in beginning of the evening.
