Toronto

I was in Toronto only for one day on August 13th, but I walked a lot around town and saw a few great things. I started by walking downtown towards the CN Tower. On my way I saw a few nice buildings with gargoyles, which I love. I love old buildings because they used to put so much work to make it look good. All the stonework is very special. It's the kind of architecture that I love to see.

When I got to the CN tower, I did get a ticket to go up in the tower for 25$, which after I came back down I was kind of disappointed. Not disappointed from the view, that was great, but for the price I expected to have a bit more for my money. But it's ok, I liked it anyways.

Then I walked to the marina for a little while. I then headed back to my hostel to take a break around noon. I went for lunch and while visiting in the morning I heard of a castle that could be visited. I had never heard of a castle in Toronto before that day. So I'm letting you guess where I was headed in the beginning of the afternoon.

On my way there I did see some other things that touched my curiosity, like the building of the Legislative Assembly Of Ontario, which surprised me with it's work. Then I got in a building that's part of the University's Campus.

I finally got to the Casa Loma, which is a castle that was built in the late 19th century. The price of entry was 18$ since I had a few dollars rebate from the hostel and is was much more worth the money and appreciated my visit much more than the CN Tower. I spend 4 hours walking around the house taking pictures into every corners. The outside look of the castle is kind of medieval-Victorian, the inside I must say is more decorated in a Victorian style. I would have like to see more medieval artifacts but it was cool all the same. This castle was actually build as a family house from a rich business man that was a fan of medieval architecture. (Come back in a few days I will create a whole album of the pictures of the castle)

It was a good day in Toronto, the next morning I took the plane heading to Cusco, Peru.
